All about making – ENGLISH LACE
Enjoy a morning, day or weekend experiencing the techniques used for making the English laces Beds, Bucks, Honiton and torchon. It is easier, and quicker, to learn by working on a pattern with only two or three unknown techniques. Then, as soon as you can work it without reference to diagrams or books, abandon it and move on to the next one. Once you have mastered the technique for setting in there is no need to start with coupled bobbins, just tie them in to a berry pin and set in the next pattern. Alternatively you may wish to enjoy relaxing and making lace using a pricking of your own choice.
Help will be available for those interested in truing up prickings and designing. A computer with Lace8 will be available for you to see its possibilities and if you wish to learn to use the program, true up or design using the program please bring your laptop etc. with the program loaded.

Bobbin Lace 
I feel very envious of the English lacemakers having such a wonderful Lacemaking Teacher in the country and willing to take classes. I live in Tasmania a small island at the bottom of Australia and we were lucky enough to have Alexandra teach at our AGM (in Sydney) which was fantastic, There is nothing that is quite the same as having someone close and handy to ask questions.

Would love the opportunity to do more classes, but would be over the moon if it was weekly.
To be able to attend Alex’s weekend course is very helpful and I feel that I have learnt a lot. Even though I live in England I wish I was closer so that I could take more advantage of her knowledge.

Wir sind eine staatliche Einrichtung mit Namen ‘Volkshochschule’,die sich für Erwachsenen auszubilden verpflichtet .Wir planen das Erasmus+Projekt der Europaischen Union vorzubreiten.Das Thema von unserem Projekt ist ‘Klöpelspitze’.Es gibt zwei Hauptgründe,warum wir das Projekt wählen:
1)‘Klöpelspitze‘ befindet sich zwischen den Handwerken ,die nahe daran in Vergessenheit zu geraten sind.
2) ‘Klöpelspitze‘ wurde in unserem Land und in unserer Stadt vor langer Zeit hergestellt.
Im Rahmen dieses Projekts möchten wir über folgende Pünkte von ‘Klöpelspitze‘ ausgebildet werden:
a)Die Webereitechniken
b)Gebrauchte Materialien
c)Musterarten
d)Anwendungsbereich
Aus diesem Grund suchen wir Partner aus den Ländern, in denen ‘Klöpelspitze‘ hergestellt wird.Möchten Sie mitmachen?Wenn Sie kein Partner sein können,werden Sie uns an andere Instıtutionen weiterleiten,die an diesem Thema intressiert sind?
Der Zweck des Projekts :
Ø Erfahren mehr über Klöpelspitze und ihre Webereitechniken durch dır praktische und theoretische Bildung in den Ländern,die dem Projekt gemeinsam sind.
Ø Um die Techniken von Klöpelspitze zu lernen und mit den Schülern zu teilen.
